Metis Fine Art Finance provides discreet, long-term financing against valuable art collections. Metis was founded as a partnership between Winston Artory Group and Rebecca Fine, one of the most established authorities in art-secured lending, who leads the business as CEO. Metis offers collectors who cherish their artworks immediate access to the value of their collections, without any pressure to sell.
Metis supports its clients the way the best patrons support their artists: investing in the relationship as much as the outcome.
We pair client-centric thinking with the deal expertise to see a transaction through. Collectors deserve an art lender who can do both at once.
From this simple but elevated concept,
Metis Fine Art Finance was born.
We work with collectors, estates, family offices, and institutions, alongside their teams of trusted professionals: private bankers, wealth managers, trustees, art advisors, and lawyers. We offer clients and their fiduciaries sophisticated art-backed financing solutions.

Metis is the Greek titaness associated with wisdom and the mother of the goddess Athena. Known for her artful ingenuity, she navigates complexity with pragmatism and prudence. For a firm established at the intersection of art and finance, these bedrock qualities are the armature on which we built Metis.
An intelligence base not available to conventional lenders
This foundation informs and accelerates Metis’ underwriting, so the firm moves efficiently and with conviction, from first inquiry to closing and beyond. Metis operates independently of Winston Artory Group’s appraisal and advisory businesses, and obtains a third-party appraisal for each artwork, so that efficiency never comes at the expense of independence.
